The Waikato Public Law and Policy Research Unit is holding its fourth public session of 2021 via Zoom.
"The importance of independence and its role in the legal profession and the rule of law"
The Co Directors of the Waikato Public Law and Policy Unit, Dr Alberto Alvarez-Jimenez and Dr Juliet Chevalier-Watts, are delighted to announce that Timothy Lindsay will be speaking on the importance of independence and its role in the legal profession and the rule of law via Zoom.
Timothy is recognised by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation and Who’s Who Legal as one of the leading litigators in the country, and in 2021, as many of you will know, he was Benchmark Litigation’s ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for New Zealand. Previously a litigation partner at US law firm Dechert LLP, Timothy is globally recognised as an “outstanding advocate,” “tough and resolute in the pursuit of his clients’ interests,” “a first class practitioner who combines great charm and skill with extraordinary tenacity”, and “totally committed” to his clients.
