Teaching STEM/ Technology. What led to the Prime Minister's Award?

A Technology, Environmental, Mathematics and Science Education (TEMS) Centre Seminar. Sarah Washbrooke, winner of the 2021 Prime Minister's Science Teacher Award, will talk about her experiences of teaching in STEM and technology and what it took to become a nationally recognised teacher. Sarah has taught technology for over 20 years in the UK and NZ and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Industrial Design and Technology. She has led team and run professional learning for teachers in different areas of STEM and Technology, and has taught a wide range of ages, needs and cultures in different school environments as a technology specialist. In 2019 she also received the TENZ award for Outstanding Technology Teacher.
