Welcome to our 2023 programme!
We connect tech students with the best in the biz for paid internships. We also run bootcamps year long to help you prepare for your career, and provide valuable networking opportunities. And the best bit it's all free for students! Find out more about us, the programme, what's involved and hear some alumni stories at our launch event!

We will have pizza at the end for nibbles and networking!

Summer of Tech is a non-profit organisation, empowering Aotearoa New Zealand’s diverse tech students to bridge the gap between learning and earning by making it easy and attractive for employers to hire them. We work with hundreds of employer organisations from across Aoetaroa who are passionate about nurturing future tech superstars!

We have been running our programme for over 16 years and we have helped kick-start the IT careers of 1000+ students. In 2022, we placed more than 430 students into paid internships and jobs across Aotearoa. They are real jobs, you'll be expected to be part of the team!
We have summer internships and jobs (graduate, full time, part time and contract) at New Zealand's top technology companies. To be eligible for our programme, you must have been enrolled in a NZ tertiary institution (any qualification, any stage) within the last 24 months, entitled to work in NZ, and able to get yourself to the location of work to start immediately.

Our employers are looking for a range of skills (Javascript, C#, React, Python to name a few but also just looking for an interest in tech, and a willingness to learn). Roles include Developers (all types), Testers, Digital Marketing, IT Support Specialist, UI/UX Designer, Data Analyst, Robotics, and Information Security. Opportunities are in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Nelson, Tauranga and Palmerston North. Each role will have a specific recruiting process and timeline, all details can be found on our website.

Come and find out more on Monday 15th May at 12pm in S.1.03, S Block, Hamilton Campus.
