Contemporary workplaces are characterised by continuous change and uncertainty. Being adaptable, resilient, is a key employee capability that can be fostered in organisations. In this presentation, Sanna will discuss the concepts of employee resilience and wellbeing, initially presenting findings from disaster settings, then exploring these concepts in everyday work and finally presenting some recent work on employee needs and support during the pandemic.
Sanna Malinen is an Associate Professor in Organisational Behaviour at University of Canterbury’s Business School. She draws from social and organisational psychological principles to support workplaces and communities where people can thrive. Some of her current projects focus on psychosocial risk management, psychological safety and resilience in the workplace.
