Enrolments are now open for Term One 2022 classes at the Waikato Community School of Music. Classes start on Saturday 12th February. The school offers both group-format music tuition at affordable rates, as well as one-to-one tuition in some instruments for those who wish to work towards exams and NCEA credits. Students of all ages and ability levels are welcome, including absolute beginners.
·Music Makers, for those aged from 3, is an introductory program designed to prepare children for music tuition.
·Adult students are welcome, whether new to music altogether, or wanting to brush up on rusty skills.
·Among many instrument options are Violin, Flute and Recorder.
The tuition fee includes the option to participate in any of our ensembles/orchestras at no additional charge. Most classes are 30 minutes long, and are kept as small as possible. Note that all those on our premises aged 12 or over must be fully vaccinated. The school is located at Gate 4, Hillcrest Road on the University of Waikato campus.
