Waikato Management School's Research Office is hosting an International Business Workshop on Wednesday, 10 April, from 9.30am to 4pm.
The purpose of the workshop is to promote research and collaboration between academics and PhD students in the field of international business. Around 30 participants from universities all over New Zealand will be attending, as well as guest speakers from universities in Sweden and New Zealand.

The workshop will kick off by providing an update on recent developments in international business research and teaching at participating universities.
Participants will then engage in a roundtable discussion of their own current research abstracts, followed by a networking lunch in the Law School boardroom, N.1.03/04.
The workshop also features several guest speakers whose research in this field is internationally recognised:
- Professor Sylvie Chetty (Uppsala University, Sweden) – 1.10pmTopic: Building on previous research to create new research in international business
- Professor Snejina Michailova (University of Auckland) – 1.45pm Topic: Working with theory
- Professor Peter Enderwick (Auckland University of Technology) – 2.20pm Topic: Global factory governance: Coordination mechanisms and mode switching
The event will conclude with a discussion on ‘Emerging issues and new questions facing international business scholars and the discipline’, facilitated by Professor Dirk Boehe (Massey University, Auckland).
