The Language and Culture Assistants Programme is an initiative of the Spanish Ministry of Education. The main objective is to provide Scholarships to New Zealand university students and graduates, majoring in any subject. It is an opportunity to live in Spain and obtain paid working experience whilst supporting the teaching of English in primary or secondary schools.
-Spend a full academic year in Spain (from October 2020 to May or June 2021), or
-One semester (from January to May or June 2021)
-Be required to work only between 12-16 hours, 4 days per week, allowing lots of time to travel through Spain and Europe.
Candidates must be:
-NZ citizens under 60 years of age,
-Speakers of English as their first language
-Have a university degree, or
-Be in their second year of studies or over.
Some knowledge of Spanish would be useful but is not compulsory.
Online applications for the 2020-2021 school year is open until April 15, 2020. There is no cost or fee to submit applications.
