Moodle Modules

Moodle is an online platform that allows you to access papers, contact lecturers, find due dates and submit assignments. It is important that you become familiar with how to use Moodle as it will be the main system you use while studying at Waikato. Checking Moodle regularly will mean you don't miss out on important information and updates throughout the trimester. To login to Moodle, go to elearn.waikato.ac.nz and use your university username and password to sign in.

Kick start your journey off in the right direction by learning all you need to know as a new pasifika or maori student here at Waikato. Hear from current students, meet our awesome staff and share a delicious kai.

Uni101: Getting Started and Student Services talk

Make sure you're ready for every aspect of your first few weeks with us by attending this session. It will cover a whole bunch of topics including: how to prepare for your lectures, what support systems are available to you, a chance to meet some of the key staff during your studies and be introduced to the University's main systems and processes.

Bringing your best: Strategies for success in your first year at Uni

Learn how to overcome your "study worries" with tips and strategies for success. This interactive session, brought to you by the Student Learning team, will help you to get set up for completing your Uni assessments without stress and hassles. We will explore how to paraphrase other people's writing so that you aren't stealing their ideas, and how to ensure you reference others' work correctly. We will also demo the University's free Academic Integrity resources and introduce you to the range of services we offer @ Student Learning.
