Open Day 2021

Open Day 2021 Dates

That's a wrap!

What an amazing time we had at Open Day this year. To those who attended, we hope we sparked your interest in studying at the University of Waikato and had a lot of fun exploring your options!

If you want to find out more, you can check out our study areas where you can find course details, study pathways and entry requirements.

We are also available to chat, if you have any further questions about study, or just want to find out what it’s like living in the halls, support services and clubs.

Make sure you check out our scholarships too - NOW OPEN!

What's On

What you need to know

During Open Day we have plenty of things to see and do,  this includes:

  • Information sessions
  • Mini lectures and workshops
  • Live entertainment
  • Information sessions for parents and caregivers which will cover the transition to university, student support, key dates and the application process

For a full list of what is on on the day in Tauranga, check out our Open Day Programme.

Free WiFi will be available on each campus all day.

Need parking on the day?

There are various parking buildings close to our Tauranga campus where you can park. If you're nice and early you may be able to find a park on the street close by.

Don’t miss a thing

Download the App

Download the WaikatoUni app before Open Day (available on the App Store and Google Play) to customise your timetable for Open Day. You can also find a map of all the activities on campus and learn more about what goes on around our campuses during the year.

Finding your way around

A campus map can be found on our website (Hamilton and Tauranga), and in the WaikatoUni app. It’s a good idea to check out the map before Open Day and take note of key areas you want to visit.

On the day, look out for University staff wearing red Waikato t-shirts as they can answer any questions and point you in the right direction. We'll also have information stands stationed around our campuses.

Information for Parents

There will also be plenty of information for parents to help answer those burning questions.

If you're looking to talk to someone on the day, or find certain information, check out the Open Day programmes. Find the Tauranga campus programme here.
