Open Day

Open Day is the perfect chance to spend a day on campus, explore study options, chat to our staff and students, win cool prizes, and get a taste of Waikato student life.  We’ll have plenty of things for you to see and do, including:

  • Information sessions about how uni is different to school, how to choose the right degree, accommodation options, scholarships, student support and more
  • Mini-lectures and workshops with our world-leading teaching staff to show you what being in a lecture is like, and how some of our subjects are taught at Waikato
  • Tours of campus and the Halls of Residence so you can familiarise yourself with the place, and see our on-campus accommodation first-hand
  • Opportunities to meet some of our current students and chat with them about their experiences
  • Live entertainment and food stalls, plus lots of competitions and giveaways
  • Information sessions for parents, caregivers and careers advisers throughout the day to answer any questions you have.
