The New Zealand Institute for Business Research, which offers tailored research, advisory and consultancy services, will host a free two-day workshop for researchers on using the SmartPLS software program on 24 and 25 March at Waikato Management School.
If you are a PhD student or academic who is interested in learning how to step up their research towards well-designed and publishable outputs, then the two-day 'PLS-SEM using SmartPLS 3 training workshop' is for you.
This workshop will be presented by Dr Christian Ringle, Chaired Professor of Management at the Hamburg University of Technology in Germany, and Adjunct Professor at Waikato Management School.
Professor Christian is a co-developer of the SmartPLS software program, offers online courses, and regularly teaches doctoral seminars on multivariate statistics, especially the PLS-SEM method, and the use of the statistical software such as SmartPLS.
The workshop will cover the following:
- an in-depth methodological introduction into the PLS-SEM approach the nature of causal modeling, analytical objectives, some statistics;
- the evaluation of measurement results; and
- complementary analytical techniques

Speaker bio:
Dr Christian Ringle is Director of the Institute of Human Resource Management and Organisations in the Department of Management Sciences and Technology at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), Germany.
He has co-edited several special issues of top-tier journals, co-authored two books on the PLS-SEM method, and published several articles on the application of the method in various disciplines.
Professor Ringle's research addresses human resource management, organisation, marketing, strategic management, and quantitative methods for business and market research.
He was named in Clarivate Analytics’ 2018 and 2019 lists of Highly Cited Researchers; which lists the top 1% of researchers by citations per field in the Web of Science.
