Mental Health Awareness Week
|Date||Monday 27 September - Sunday 3 October 2021|
Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) is run annually by the Mental Health Foundation and has been since 1993. MHAW is endorsed by the World Federation for Mental Health and is marked in over 150 countries at different times of the year. This year's theme is take time to kōrero/mā te kōrero, ka ora - a little chat can go a long way.
The University of Waikato has partnered with The Kindness Institute to bring tips, resources and information to our community. Learn about Te Whare Tapa Whā, participate in guided meditation, learn about implementing strategies to support your mental health in your everyday life and share your own tips with other members of the University community.
Head to our social media channels to take part and make sure you download the WaikatoUni app to access the resources and information.
