The University of Waikato welcomes our Malaysian and Singaporean alumni back to the Hamilton campus to celebrate your successes since graduating and to reminisce with fellow alumni and friends.
Programme
Saturday 2 December
10.30am - 3.30pm - A Day on Campus is an opportunity to be hosted by the Office of the Vice-Chancellor at our Hamilton campus for the day. The event includes time to mix and mingle with friends, enjoy lunch with members of our University community and explore the campus to see how much it has evolved since you were last here.
RSVP's for this event are essential for catering purposes.
Evening - Group dinner in Hamilton (more details to follow from the organising committee).
Sunday 3 December
11am - An opportunity to visit the award-winning Hamilton Gardens as a group, will be on offer for those who are interested. More details to come.
Accommodation
University of Waikato Halls of Residence ($84 pp)
Reminisce on your student days by staying on-campus in the Halls of Residence (College Hall). All rooms are complete with a single bed and shared unisex bathroom facilities are on each level. Several booking options are available for the weekend of the reunion including, one, two or three nights accommodation. Hobbiton Movie Set Tours (42.9 km to the campus)
For your own Middle-earth adventure, daily tours are available to visit the original movie set from The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy and The Hobbit films. The movie set is owned by Waikato Management School alumnus, Russell Alexander. Ask reception for information on transfers from central Hamilton.
Waitomo Caves (74 km to the campus)
An hour south of Hamilton the mystical world of the Waitomo region awaits. This is a land of contrasts with many of the area's natural wonders to be found below the earth's surface.
