Following the success of the inaugural ‘20th Century Archives’ workshop in October 2020, we invite members of the University of Waikato community to participate in an interdisciplinary workshop focussed on archival objects.  If you work on archives and records held by governments, judicial bodies, businesses, religious organisations, charities, literary estates, iwi or community groups, families or individuals, join us for a seminar on archival processes with a specific focus on the significance of objects held in archives.

The workshop will include three sessions:

*Morning: discussion of pre-circulated readings – supplied on registration

*Afternoon: ‘Show and Tell’ workshop – participants share an archival object

*Evening: networking dinner

Lunch will be provided for all participants. Dinner is open to all participants and subsidised for graduate students.

Do consider sharing an object from your own archival work in the ‘show and tell’ session!

Workshop co-convened by William Jennings, Maebh Long, Kate Stevens, Alice Te Punga Somerville.
