Students and staff with a keen interest in sheep and beef farming are invited to attend a free seminar hosted by the Future Food Network on Tuesday evening, 27 March, starting at 5.30pm.
Run by New Zealand Young Farmers, the Future Food Network enables tertiary students to meet high-calibre speakers from the red meat industry, and gain valuable advice for their future career.
The goal is to encourage more young people to get excited about careers in sheep and beef production, and to increase the sector's productivity.
This month's guest speaker is Professor Patrick Aldwell, Academic Director of the Kellogg Rural Leaders Programme and retired Dean of Commerce at Lincoln University.
Professor Aldwell's research expertise is focused on the impacts of agricultural intensification; large-scale landuse change on regional economies; managed ecosystems; the role of technological change on international competitiveness; and the effects of increasing resource limitations.
If you'd like to attend this event, please RSVP to Denise Martin, email firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, 19 March.
