Join us for a night of academic insight and entertainment. The 3MT Doctoral Final is an event not to be missed!
This is a free public event and everyone is welcome to attend.
The winner will be awarded the Professor John D. McCraw Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Oratory Presentation of Doctoral Research, a research grant of $1,500 and will represent the University of Waikato at the 2019 Asia Pacific 3MT Competition at the University of Queensland on Friday 4 October 2019. The runner-up will receive $1,000 in research funding.
People’s Choice Award
There will also be a People’s Choice Award. All audience members who attend the final, and are not competing, will be invited to cast a single vote. This should be based on which candidate they felt best communicated their area of research to the audience. The People’s Choice Award carries a prize of $500.
Refreshments will be provided.
