Decolonisation and the Trans-Pacific
Join us at Pacific Studies at the University of Waikato, the New Zealand/Aotearoa hub for the Australian Association for Pacific Studies’ online conference honouring the work of the late Pacific historian Tracey Banivanua Mar.
Live-streamed events will showcase postgraduate and early career researchers and Associate Professor Alice Te Punga Somerville (Waikato University) will chair a keynote panel discussion featuring Pasifika and Indigenous scholars.
The two-day symposium will streamed at locations around the campus. The panels from Melbourne will be accompanied by a tour of Pacific art on Waikato campus and a reading group kōrero about Tracey Banivanua Mar’s work.
Please RSVP with dietary and accessibility requirements by Thursday 1sts April to pacificstudies@waikato.ac.nz for catering purposes and to receive readings.
