Re-Orientation is an exciting time to familiarise yourself with your campus, make new friends and set yourself up for the start of a busy year!

With mini-lectures, campus activities and free giveaways on offer, you’ll have everything you need to start your university journey.

Make sure you get on campus for the start of Re-Orientation beginning on Tuesday 3 July on both the Hamilton and Tauranga campuses. Semester B classes will begin on Monday 9 July. Check your online timetable to see when your classes are. You can sign-up for tutorial times online, you'll find out how and when to do this at your first lecture.

Wednesday 4 July

11am - 11.30am Tauranga - Uni101 Getting Started A03, Windermere
How ready are you for study? There’s more to being successful in study than just academic content. Make sure you’re prepared for your first lectures; learn about University systems and processes so that you start your study already in the know. Join us at a Uni101 session.
11.30am - 12pm Tauranga - Student Support Services A03, Windermere
Find out about the support we provide to help you succeed in your studies. We'll talk about learning support, health and other services offered to help enhance your grades and the support available for when difficulties pop up in life. Hear about the social activities available that can add a spice of fun to your time with us.
1pm - 1:30pm International Student Meet Up A03, Windermere
An official welcome and get together for all of our International students, new and current! Connect with other international students, gather information on local amenities, Kiwi culture, have your questions answered about your new surroundings and make new friends at this meet and greet session.
1:30pm - 2pm Sharing Māori Successes A03, Windermere
Hear from Māori students, mentors and staff who will share tips for academic success and how to adjust to uni life.

Friday 6 July

11am-12pm Careers and EPP Session A01, Windermere
Gain the necessary skills and experience that will give you an edge in securing employment in your chosen profession. Learn what it is employers are looking for and what you can be doing towards that. Get a head-start while you study!

Wednesday 25 July

12pm - 2pm WSU BBQ Rooftop, Bongard
Join us at the Bongard rooftop for music, entertainment and lunch provided by the Waikato Students’ Union.
