"Waikato Region CAN Recruit Stellar Employees"

Roger has been a partner in a Chartered Accounting practice in Morrinsville, since 1998; and merged that practice with PwC on 1 July 2008. He has extensive knowledge of equine, dairy, beef and sheep farming, with over 20 years experience servicing primary sector clients in the Waikato. As a primary sector specialist, Roger enjoys assisting clients to identify and plan their strategic business direction.

PwC Waikato Managing Partner Roger Wilson will discuss how to embrace the competitive advantage the Waikato has to offer businesses to attract, motivate and retain key staff. In this ever competitive world where skilled employees know they are in demand, have greater salary expectations and are willing to switch jobs to get what they want, Mr Wilson will review what opportunities Waikato can offer to the market place

Recruiting stellar employees can't be limited to a competition of wages. Indeed, the Waikato region can leverage what it can offer to job seekers - from a lower cost of living to a better lifestyle all within close proximity to Auckland, New Zealand's largest city.

Mr Wilson will also look beyond financial advantages and other lifestyle benefits to inspire talent to our region. To convince future employees and their families to relocate to Waikato, we need to step up our total employee offering by adding the kind of incentives that aren't found elsewhere. By acting together, businesses can outclass their regional competitors.
