The Magic Chicken
Date: Monday 2 July 2012
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Clarence Street Theatre
The Magic Chicken is a gastroCOMIQUE delight! Join us for a hilarious mix of magic, mime and music with slapstick humour, break dancing and puppetry.
Set in a little bistro, chaos ensues when Evil Eric tries to steal Ethel the magic golden-egg laying chicken from two unsuspecting and hapless chefs. Watch out for flying kitchen tools, airborne food, chefs falling over, slow-mo chase scenes and running with knives (don't try this at home!).
Accompanied by live music, The Magic Chicken will be a riot for both kids and adults alike.
Created especially for children from 7-12 years old.
"Like Shrek, Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo, The Magic Chicken appeals to both children and adults with plenty to delight both audiences". - NZ Herald
Performed by Trygve Wakenshaw, Barnie Duncan and directed by Geoff Pinfield. Auckland's award-winning Theatre Beating are regulars on the New Zealand festival circuit and they have performed internationally throughout Europe and in Australia.
